Sunday post #1

Managed to finish these.
They were going to be the first cavalry unit of my new Carolingan host, but they seem to noble so I'm going to use them as heroes for to the Strongest. Apart from Charlemagne who will still be the Senior, heroic general.

They are based on half discs to facilitate putting them alongside unit bases and remain in the grid square.

Start of a new project

Say hello to the first of the Carolingan host. These will from two bases of ADLG cavalry or one base of heavy cavalry for To the Strongest. Oh and the forged in battle Kickstarter stretch goal Charlemagne on the extreme left.

Corona miniaturia or will this virus increase painting productivity

Ok so it's been too long since the last post. In which time the world has gone into isolation luckily I managed to make it to the Hammerhead show. Staying at the excellent Lions B&B in Newark and having a nice pint and very good dinner in the Prince Rupert, I even found some loo roll in Morrison's. This enabled me to pick up some supplies and more figures for the months ahead.

Unfortunately the mad tin hatter couldn't make the show so I was unable to pass on my contribution to the for Joshua Project. I'm hoping. The postal system keeps going for a while so I can get these delivered. I can combine this with my one period of daily exercises as its a three mile roundtrip of a gentle walk to the post office.

I have also been able to complete a few extra pieces, 25 orc archers from Pendraken and a damaged bridge from Battlescale wargame buildings.

10mm Fantasy for a good cause

Dwarves
Normans masquerading as Rohirrim

So it's been absolutely ages since my last post, but this cause has revitalised my desire to paint so I thought I would put digit to mobile device and cover it in a blog post.

I picked up some orc spearmen and some orcs riding wolves at Warfare in Reading yesterday which I will be starting tomorrow.

The photos were done using my new folding photo booth and the camera on this device, they seem to have come out ok for a point and click shot.
